The Jewel at Ko Phi Phi Le is a fictional course inspired by the terrain of Thailand’s Ko Phi Phi Leh and Ko Phi Phi Don islands. The main features are the mountainous jungle terrain, relatively flat coastal land, and a long, groomed beach looking out onto steep limestone formations just offshore. The mountainous region is densely populated with trees and separates the front nine from the back. These mountains contain large limestone formations. Limestone is also liberally used throughout the course as retaining wall material and aesthetic adornment. A resort hotel and villas featuring a central park also adorn the property.
