Member Reviews:

First up, a couple of caveats that in the interests of fairness I ought to mention:
1 - I may be somewhat biased as this is a "home town" course as I live in London.
2 - I have so far only played a single round in a howling gale.

That all said & done, this course is a beauty. The shortness of it (only 7113 yards from the tips) is nicely balanced by lightning fast greens that really do require the player to leave the ball in the right area of said green.
The fairways are tight but not too tight and there are some overhung areas but not too many - accurate driving is required and positional play is important for the approaches as the one round I played to date - done in my usual fashion of pull the driver and smash it as far as possible down the fairway - turned out to possibly not be the best way forward in a gale as even though I ended up at -2 (with 3 bogies) I missed so many greens it was just not funny because the method I used simply did not suit this course so don't be afraid of using driver but the ideal method is to work out where to leave the ball so you have a wedge or a short iron - my scrambling is good and your short game will definitely get a workout but when I am scrambling I am not putting for birdies.
It is imperative to hit the greens in regulation or this will be hard, hard work.
I like it a lot - great job and I recommend this course to all.
