Mt. Freedom is a small village within the township of Randolph, NJ. Growing up there in the 80s, I spent many hours on local golf courses playing in all weather. Here is a typical New Jersey country club in the fall. This course was designed to be tough with firm and fast greens and tough fairways to hit without working the ball or just being really lucky. The terrain is gentle with no massive changes in elevation until the stretch of holes 12-14 which are up the mountain and back down again. Overall, this is a very subtle and simplistic looking design but a very fun and challenging course to play.
