El Tesoro Piratas Golf Club

Designer: Phil Harris

Course Description:

A long golf course with undulating fairways and greens. Scores can be had, but shooting at the pin may not be the best way to get close. Keep in mind your angles for the approach when your standing on the tee.

Member Reviews:

A very well done course, in both play and aesthetics, with brilliant hole routings and challenging pin placements. The greens are just soft enough to hold shots, but contoured very well to reward good approach shots that pay attention to the terrain of the green in relation to the pin - and punish those that ignore it. Loved this course, and very appropriate that it has been chosen for a Web.com tournament.

Course design was good and I liked playing it except for the greens. The greens for the CC Tour were in my opinion were not fair with the placement of yellow and red lines and the placement of the flags were difficult considering the firmness and green speed. I am in CC-D and this course is too hard for my level of play but that's what TGC felt was appropriate for ALL of us. I have nothing against your course as it was a good challenge and also frustrating. Hopefully TGC will make better decisions on course choice for The CC Tour as to the different levels of players in our tour.
