Member Reviews:

The closest I have been to Galveston is Corpus Christi. While not very close to each other, this plot did remind me a little of my only experience in Texas, with relatively flat ground and lots of palm trees.

The course is very straightforward on the front 9 with not many hazards, and gets progressively more narrow and difficult on the back 9. The defense for this course is the greens, though. They are small, and I don't buy for a second that they are med-soft as listed. Getting close is tough, and you are sure to have a big breaker wherever you are on the green.

I don't know that I would give the architect of the real course high marks for strategic design, but in TGC you could have some nice matches on this course where proper approach shots and clutch putting are key.
